I'm a total lover of carp fishing-I am making plans for the next carp fishing trip no sooner than I return from the one before. To me, there's something absolutely magical about this fish. Apparently, I'm not the only one who feels this way. Numerous societies hold the carp as legendary and mythical, particularly Asian societies. Legend has it that if a carp fish can jump up to the top of a waterfall, and proceed to swim upstream, whenever it gets to the source of the stream it will be morphed into a dragon as a reward. Wouldn't it be nice if it were on my line! To be serious, though, when setting out to stalk this storied fish, you should arm yourself with the best carp fishing tackle within your budget. Carp Fishing Tackle: Key Features of the Daiwa Basiair 45QD Reel
The producers from Daiwa have taken it to the limits in both components and design by formulating this extremely light weight piece of excellent carp fishing tackle. Although it weighs just 445 grams, the reel doesn't sacrifice features or performance. Incorporating a sturdy alloy made of magnesium plus a Daiwa proprietary Zaion element which has a weight half as much as aluminium, yet has just as much potency, the 45QD provides an effective blend of performance and power. The Basiair 45QD reel has a retrieve ratio of 4.1:1 and a 45mm spool profile; also it has ease and precision in casting and can retrieve slightly less than 90cm of line with a single twist of the handle. The reel has a striking, futuristic look and a distinctive shape that set it apart from other reels in its class.
Carp Fishing Tackle: Further Details Regarding the Basiair 45QD Reel
The reel has a strong alloy body, Zaion rotor, an ultra-long 45mm double anodised spool, and QD (quick drag) engagement. This reel has all the features you'd expect from Daiwa, including a stainless steel AirBail and infinite anti-reverse. This 45QD is manufactured with eight ball bearings and five of them are CRBBs or corrosion-resistant ball bearings. The handle is an exact machine-cut "wishbone" style handle, plus it has a high impact type line clip. There are starlight holes in its spool skirt. Weighing 15.9oz, this fishing reel has the capacity for 240m of 12 pound test line. I've incorporated this 45QD for a long time, and am glad to say that, though it has a very compact structure and design, it produces superb line lay. So, the size shouldn't make you doubt the superiority of this rod.
