Long Altar
The Big Day Requires A Bit Of Smart Shopping
Smart shopping for the big day (otherwise known as the wedding day) can entail a lot of separate actions that go into making the day truly memorable. Clothing, personal looks and an element of style revolving around jewelry all go into making the wedding photos, among other mementos, things that will last a long time when it comes to remembering how everybody, including the bride, looked on the big day.
What it all comes down to is the bride, of course, as most grooms would say to just point them to the altar and let the fun begin, right? Today, most brides seem torn between a very traditional look in a dress or something like a strapless wedding gown. Both are equally appropriate, at heart, though some fashion experts may say that a strapless look might be more appropriate for the middle age and younger set.
Nowadays, everything that goes on about a wedding helps to contribute to the billion-dollar nature of the industry. There are many other businesses, it needs to be said, that benefit from the wedding phenomenon. Take laser hair removal shops and clinics, for example; how many brides (and even grooms, these days) have scheduled themselves for a bit of it. Add in that it also is probably cheaper than waxing over the long run and one can see the attraction.
Let's face it; cable TV is full of shows depicting 'bride wars' and other programs that highlight the anxieties that many a bride experiences in the run-up to the big day. Truthfully, almost every show depicts a bride in one stage of manic activity or another, especially when it comes to their looks or the clothing their wear. They're shown also worrying over the kind of jewelry they and their bridesmaids will be wearing.
Imagine the stress that goes on with a bride who's failed to shop for and select the right kind of jewelry. And if a bridesmaid should happen to go for the wrong kind (say, cocktail jewelry instead of traditional bridal wear), the stress levels shoot right up. The truth of the matter is that almost any kind of jewelry can be appropriate, depending on the wedding theme, but try convincing a bride of that fact.
Today, it seems that almost everything out there conspires to drive a prospective bride to distraction or worse. Men dread the thought of having to shop for much of anything not related to bass fishing or sports cars and would probably look at the kind of shopping a bride has to do as being similar to being hung by their thumbs. Brides, though, are true shopping warriors and with the help of the Internet can pull it off amazingly well.
In the end, most men -- even combat-hardened ones -- would fall apart at the thought of having to line up what a bride has to line up, including the dress, the jewelry and the personal look. The thought of eloping probably would appeal to men if they had to undergo just a 10th of what the bride goes through, to be honest, though almost every man and woman -- at least in the moments after the wedding -- would say it was all worth it.
How can I make some extra money when I'm too young to work?
I am thirteen and really want an iphone. The $20 I make every month goes to my hamster (buying food, bedding, treats, etc.) and I need at least $200 right now so I can pay the bill every month. I just need an extra $40 every month. How can I make extra money? I was thinking of asking to help out for $20 every Saturday at a local dog grooming place where it's just one guy running the place. I also altar serve weddings and funerals so I get some extra money, but there might not be enough weddings and funerals every month. And after I graduate in June of 2012 and no longer altar serve, I won't make that extra money. Also, I don't really have anyone to babysit.. How can I "get into it" and let people know I babysit? Any other ideas on how to make money?
Thank you so much!
You are 13, why the hell do you need an iPhone? Nevermind I'll answer that....you don't need one. Just play with your hamster
